The Frequency is a 99 capacity live music venue and night club located in downtown Madison just off the Capitol Square at 121 W. Main St. We host a wide variety of local, regional, national and international acts 7 nights a week.

We also have weekly featured shows. Every Monday at 9 PM we are honored to have FUNKY MONDAYS with the CLYDE STUBBLEFIELD SHOW. Clyde is known as the Original Funky Drummer. We also have the brilliant DAN POTACKE SHOW every other Monday during our Freqy Hour (6-8). Slide on down Tuesday evenings (5:30-8) for our weekly (starting 9/15/2009) CHICAGO BLUES TUESDAYS and OPEN JAM hosted by A.J. Love and featuring some of blues' finest in our intimate and confortable room. All musicians welcome to sign up and jam. Every second and fourth Friday from 6-8 we host THE GOMERS' SLAPPY HOUR VARIETY SHOW. You never know what you're going to get, and some of Madison's finest acts will be joining them each performance.

We do not charge a cover to get into the front bar (special / ticketed events not included, these will be clearly listed on our shows page). Come down and see our friendly and fun staff, listen to some music and have some tasty drinks! We have frozen pizzas, pretzels, chips and candy bars. There are plenty of fine establishments close by that offer food as well.

We are open daily at 5 PM and have Freqy Hour from 6-8 PM. $1 off all drinks as well as $2 Pabst Blue Ribbon (tap or bottle). We have nightly drink specials from 10 PM-close and also have a Sunday Double Bubble Freqy Hour (6-8).

We are currently a 21 + venue.
